About Alice Gent
I, Alice De Witte, was born in 1930 in Zelzate.
My parents had 12 children and ran a grocery shop and a greengrocer's.
I was the one who was always in the shop from a young age and soon started making my own cakes and Flemish dishes for the whole family.
Even later, when I was a housewife, I made sure that the house was always cosy.
For us, food was always a bit of a celebration.

Our shared passion for good food and conviviality inspired me to open this lunch restaurant. I didn't have to look far for a name.
